„Nahaufnahme” - ein Projekt von Biennale Austria – einmal mehr Aufforderung für mich, das Thema Gewalt aufzugreifen. Gewalt ist allgegenwärtig, facettenreich und immer aktuell.

Meine Ausstellungsarbeit zeigt drei Kegel aus Ton, die drei Gruppen von Gewalt benennen:

NEONAZISMUS, MISSBRAUCH und KRIEG.

Bewusst plakativ und provokant ausgeführt, aber auch eine Hommage an alle, die nicht müde werden, sich dagegenzustellen. Der Kegelboden ist thematisch bebildert, der Kegelmantel mit Texten in 7 Weltsprachen - im Kontext zur Bildseite - bedruckt.

Entstehungsjahr: 2012

Material/Technik: 3 Kegel aus Ton, handgebaut, verschiedene Drucktechniken, glasiert, gebrannt, Spiegel, Metallständer, Tisch.

Maße: ca. 25 x 35 cm (je Kegel), 120 x 60 x 90 cm (gesamtes Objekt)

„Close Up” - a call for proposals of Biennale Austria - has been a challenge to occupy myself in turn with the social environment. Violence is omnipresent, multifaceted and alway present.

My work shows three cones of clay, each having received an appellation regarding violence:

NEONAZISM, ABUSE and WAR.

Designed to be striking and provoking however also paying homage to all the people who never give up working against it.

The base of the cone is thematically illustrated; the shell is printed with keywords in 7 world languages referring to the illustration of the base.

Material/technique: 3 cones of clay, handmade, various printing techniques, glazed,raku- fired, mirror, iron support, table.
